THE CHALLENGE

Go from “Canadian Tire has paint?” to “Canadian Tire has paint!”

THE SOLUTION

We went big. As in – the world’s largest paint swatch – big.

OUR APPROACH

Paint isn’t the most exciting topic in the world. It doesn’t lend itself to interesting conversations, or make a big splash with traditional and social media. Making matters worse, it’s a very crowded space, especially in the spring. But we found inspiration in a key part of the paint-buying process – the iconic paint swatch – and we elevated it.

THE WORK

We transformed a Canadian Tire parking lot from grey to a brilliant display of colour and wonder. Each of the 185 parking spots acted as individual colour swatches. We led influencers, media and Canadian Tire customers to pick their paint from over 1000 feet in the air, with the help of design celebrities Justin Ryan and Colin McAllister.
