We are pleased to welcome five great new colleagues to drive the agency’s market growth with additional strength in client experience, integrated media, and planning.

Jane Almeida joins Weber Shandwick Canada as a Vice President of Client Experience. Jane began her career in politics and has expertise in media relations, communications planning, and crisis management. She joins the firm from Restaurant Brands International (RBI) where she led communications for RBI and Tim Hortons. Jane has extensive experience in government, having worked for several Federal Cabinet Ministers and as press secretary for the Premier of Ontario. She also led media relations for the Canadian Olympic Committee. Jane will play a leadership role in advising clients on the transition to more integrated communications solutions.

Gabe Mederos joins Weber Shandwick Canada as a Vice President of Integrated Media Strategy. Gabe brings a deep background in social media, influencers, digital marketing and public relations, having driven media strategy and activation for brands such as Scotiabank, Purolator, and TELUS. In his new role, Gabe will expand our firm’s influencer strategy by further evolving our tools, processes, and best practices.

Katie Wright joins Weber Shandwick as a Planning Director. Katie has experience across a variety of sectors and worked at Spin Master, global market research firms Nielsen and Ipsos, and at an AI/robot tech startup. Kate will be focused on leveraging data and analytics to develop insights that solve client business challenges.

Milena D’Agostino joins Weber Shandwick’s Integrated Media team as Senior Account Manager in our Vancouver office. Millena brings an impressive portfolio of client experience in the lifestyle, film, corporate, tech and food and beverage sectors. Named to PR In Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 list, Milena has managed PR, social influence, thought leadership and profile-building campaigns for brands including Best Buy Canada, UNIQLO, Labatt, Jugo Juice, Shaw Communications and Mr. Sub.

Yonnie Chan joins as a Senior Manager on the Client Experience team. Yonnie brings deep experience in B2B and B2C marketing and campaign management. Yonnie worked on integrated programs for Colgate-Palmolive Asia and Air Canada at previous firms.
