Greg Power brings 35+ years’ experience in communications and operational leadership to his role as president and CEO for Weber Shandwick Canada.
Greg is highly responsive and client-centric by nature and focused on using communications to solve business challenges. He specializes in developing master storytelling narratives, media and presentation training and provides C-suite advice and counsel. Greg is the senior counsellor for clients on reputational risk management, including crisis communication and issues management, supporting RBC, McDonald’s, Air Canada, and GM. His agency experience includes senior executive roles at Cossette Communications, Edelman Canada, Hill & Knowlton Canada and Rapp Collins Worldwide.
Under his leadership since 2010, Weber Shandwick Canada has tripled its revenues and been the most awarded agency in Canada over the past three years, winning The Holmes Report’s Canadian Agency of the Year in 2018, CPRS Canada Creative Campagin of the Year in 2015, 2018 and 2019, IABC Canadian Large Agency of the Year three years in a row in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Greg is a former journalist who has produced radio documentaries for CBC Radio and Radio Canada International.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Journalism (High Honours) from Carleton University. He is community focused and sits on the board of directors for Factory Theatre, JFL42, and the Institute of Communication Agencies.
Greg lives in Toronto with his wife, Leah, and three daughters, Maxine, Paige and Cleo, and three, yes three, beloved Shetland Sheepdogs—Louis, Henry and Charlie.
